Precision Dental Care loves kids! We cater to kids with our special waiting area filled with child-sized tables and chairs, as well as toys and books. But the fun doesn't stop there. In each of our treatment rooms, kids get to watch Disney and other movies during their dental treatment. Going to the dentist CAN be fun! After each visit, children get to pick out a prize from our treasure chest and take home a goody bag filled with lots of cool stuff. Kids who become members of the Precision Dental Care Cavity-Free Club get a certificate at each dental checkup. After two visits in a row without a cavity, kids get a special prize such as a T-shirt or restaurant gift certificate. Ask a PDC team member for more information. Among the many dental outreach programs that Dr. Becker-Walker participates in, the one that is closest to her heart involved travel to Venezuela for two weeks during her junior year of dental school. University of Missouri, Kansas City students provided dental care for orphaned and poor children in the Venezuelan Dental Outreach program at the Ciudad de Los Muchachos orphanage. Dr. Becker-Walker and her classmates performed dental surgery, oral health treatments and smile make-overs for many children. The experience was very rewarding for everyone involved.   |
For ParentsAs a mother of two, Dr. Becker-Walker knows how important it is to keep kids' teeth healthy right from the start. We recommend bringing in babies after their first tooth comes in. We see children every day and we want to get them accustomed to visiting the dentist so they're comfortable and relaxed at each appointment. Giving BackDr. Becker-Walker and many of the team members at PDC have actively been involved in Give Kids a Smile each year. This nonprofit organization provides quality dental care at no charge to children with inadequate access to dentists due to financial or geographic reasons.
